Merry Christmas &
Happy Holidays To All!
Judging by the many decorations and the warm holiday
greetings, it's Christmas time agani . It's a time when everyone
seems to be more kind to others.
As we gather around our Christmas trees and dinner tables, let
us take time to give thanks for the blessings that ll our lives,
beginning with the great blessing that came on a holy night in
Bethlehem. And may we take time to rejoice in our children and
to enjoy the company of family and friends.
We send our warm greetings to all who are celebrating
Hanukkah, the festival of lights. The ancient victory of the Jewish
people reminds us that freedom must sometimes be fought for, a
message that continues to resonate today.
During this holiday season, as we share in the spirit of giving
and enjoy our familiar traditions, we give thanks for the wonder
of God's love as we rededicate ourselves to helping those in need.
In our organization, we have people of many faiths as well as
people who do not recognize any church. We send them our best
wishes for a happy holiday season.
We pray for our brave men and women in uniform, many of
whom will spend the holidays far from home.
To all of our people: We wish a Merry Christmas, Happy
Hanukkah, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

Keep A Paper Copy Of
Important Numbers
Professional organizer Julie Morganstern says many people
make the mistake of storing important telephone numbers in
their cell phones. “That’s fne until you lose the phone or the
battery dies,” she says. To be safe, keep a paper version of the
numbers as well. It doesn’t have to be a bulky address book; a
simple sheet with the numbers listed is enough.

Buying An Artificial Tree
If you’re in the market for an articial Christmas tree,
consider these suggestions:
- Make sure the tree is re retardant.
- Look for a tree with a sturdy four-legged base. If your tree doesn’t have a base, realize you’ll have to buy a heavy metal stand to support it.
- When selecting for height, measure the ceiling height of the room where the tree will be displayed but don’t forget to leave room for the tree topper.
- Shorter trees are less expensive, so you can save money by putting a shorter tree on a low wooden box or table that can be hidden by the tree skirt.
- Look for branches that are strong enough to support your heaviest ornaments. Generally, this means opting for wire-based branches.
- Trees with hinged branches allow you to open and shut the tree like an umbrella. These cost more than trees with hooked branches that insert into brackets, but are easier to set up and can be stored with the lights and decorations still on them.
- Pre-lit trees are another convenience but also come with a higher pricetag.
- Some manufacturers now oer “corner” models or trees that are designed to t into the corner of a room.
- Invest in a dust and insect proof storage bag to protect your investment.
